Caprice (7) - Love Me The Right Way - 01-Sep-08 09:19 AM
This is 12" is one of those hidden jems, the main A side is a nice vocal affair that Ive heard on a few old mixtapes, but flip it over to the Happy Larry "through love we will survive" mix and you will recognise this tune if you were ever into your Sasha mixes from 1992/93. A very simple mix, just a nice breakbeat and a synth breakdown, uplifting but also quite tough. Its also worth looking out for other tunes on this label, usally remixed by either Happy Larry or the Rapino brothers.

Unknown Artist - Untitled - 05-Aug-08 01:55 PM
Obscure white label that if you went straight to the A side you might just think that it was an average filler type house tune, flip it over for two much harder tracks more 92 hardcore than anything else. The 1st tune on the B side is the one for me, a nice tough breakbeat and a lovely uplifting piano break. I can guarantee that this is on a number of your wants list as I remember it from a few top old mix tapes from back in the day, it may even be a un-identified want for a lot of people. If you see a copy snap it up, coz I doubt you'll see another!!

2 For Joy - In A State - 05-Aug-08 12:53 PM
For me this is the copy to track down. You get the mix that was included on the full uk 12" release which is the Juno Latuno mix (on this copy it has no mix name) and on the flip is the excellent tropical mix that is a similar arrangement but with tropical bird noises playing from the start of the tune. It still retains the full vocals and the lovely bleepy breakdown. A simple but effective tune thats got to go down as a classic. Just pick up this copy on noise.

New Atlantic - Into The Future - 05-Aug-08 12:13 PM
This is all about the PA mix that was not included on the UK release. The PA mix turns what in my opinion is an semi commercial rave tune into a tune worthy of playing out. The breakbeat is much tougher and the whaling vocals, uplifting cords and piano break sound the better for it. The only downside is the rather naff ragga vocal towards the end of the tune. Well worth ditching your original 12" copy and picking up this promo instead!!

Blame - Feel The Energy - 01-Jul-08 06:04 AM
IMHO this is the best Promo EP that Blame ever put out, not only do you get "this piano track" a nice uplifting piano tune but in "feel the energy" perhaps one of the most uplifting hardcore tunes that I have ever heard. Fantastic vocals by Rachel Wallace, synth stabs, piano loop after piano loop that builds up to a creshendo of energy. A massive tune that really should be in everyones collection. Please note this is the only moving shadow release that "Feel The Energy" can be found on.
