New York based "subscription" label founded in 1977 by Mike Wilkinson, aka "Captain Mike".
Any working "Club" or "Radio" DJ with proper documentation could "subscribe" and receive the monthly vinyl double-packs.
There were seasonal bonus discs, and the occasional "triple-pack" release as well, and a small number of CD compilations were manufactured toward the end of the label's life.

Disconet 12"ers were my first introduction to to the concept of the DJ remix service. For the most part the best ones are the earliest ones from the late 70's. Some of them have terrible, mini-train-crash blending between the tracks, but the song selection is incredible...lots of great, obscure album cuts and 7" titles. By the early 80's the mixing is superb on those volumes that have medleys. By the mid to late 80's, the programming suffers IMO, with a high percentage of mediocre sleeze, HI-NRG and pop rock, but there are still some excellent volumes to be found.
