When browsing an artist's discography it would be very helpful, if I could chose between the formats. E.g. I'm just interested in his vinyl releases I can click a "vinyl-only"-button and the cds, tapes, dvds, ... disappear.

I could image a line of buttons like the "View releases in: All Genres" that's always right under the list of name variations.
But with Vinyl, Tapes, CD, DVD, etc instead.
